Submission Guidelines:
We are an independent art business for independent artists and your success with this business is what you make of it. We are simply providing a venue for you to grow your art business with minimal overhead and minimal responsibility.
1. E-mail a link to your web site OR send five web
sized jpegs (72 res) of the work you intend to display. (If you have
a unique way if displaying your work, please send a jpeg of that display as
well.)
2. Brief explanation of your experience in the
field of art3. Past and present exhibit venues
4. Brief letter explaining your intended involvement in Wood Icing Studio Gallery.
5. Work must be original and created by you
6. Work must be framed and wired to hang or display
7. Artists must reside in Missouri or Illinois (within driving distance)
8. We accept 2D and 3D work. 3D artists please prepare to provide items for display. This can be discussed after your acceptance.

Key Artists are people who work for space to exhibit and sell
their creations. We accept submissions for these positions every 6 months and/or
25 weeks.
Give: $0 rent plus 3% cash register processing
feeWork one 8 hr day a week (same day each week)
Work five weekends every 25 weekends (8hrs Saturday and 4 hrs Sunday)
6 month commitment
$100 cash deposit (refundable if you meet your commitments)
Take out trash, vacuum and dust on the five Sundays you work
Help promote and sell all of the Wood Icing vendors’ work while tending the gallery
Attend and help with events and receptions whenever possible
We are looking for team players who care about the successes of everyone at Wood Icing
Promote your presence in our gallery to your mailing list, friends, collectors etc.

(approximately double the space of what the renters pay for and

Get to be fillers when there are empty spots on the walls and tables
Everything listed for the renters (besides the obvious things)

gallery for $125

4’w x 8’h space on slat wall in the back half of the gallery for $100

2’w x 8’h space on slat wall for $50
4.
4’x6’ table space or floor space equivalent for $100
Rent covers; mall rent, liability
insurance, utilities, phone, internet, lights, paper goods, computer, printer,
constant contact e-mail service,

Opportunity to be involved with community of artists
Teachers: Studio may be used for classes, workshops, informational lectures,
meetings, open studio time that you host, demonstrations, make ‘n takes, use your imagination!
Specifications:
-Wood Icing will take 25% of the total class fee, 20% if you are a Key Person.
-You are responsible for promoting yourself
and your class. In addition to this, Wood Icing will promote your class on FB, in the newsletter, and in a paper brochure available at
the Gallery to be given to customers.
-Wood Icing will provide 18 chairs and/or 9 tables for students. You can decide your class
limit based on the space you feel you will need for your class.
-Wood Icing will provide use of limited amount of supplies i.e. paper towels, table
protection, limited paint brushes, drying racks, aprons, 5 table easels
-You are responsible for providing all other materials needed to offer your class
- Rose Wilde will provide a discount on Wood Icing products if using them in your class.
-Students are required to pay for classes in advance through Wood Icing. Please refer all
class sign-ups to the gallery. They may pay over the phone or in the gallery.
-We have a notebook where we keep track of class sign-ups so you can call to find out how
many people are signed up for your class.
-Classes must be offered during store hours M-Sat 11-7pm and Sunday 12-4. Please call to
discuss any deviation from this time schedule.
-Please fill out a new proposal form for each class proposed.
-Cancellations are frowned upon. Please be considerate and keep your commitment to us.
